# How do I point out my own shop?

> Webshops mark their own shop in Sources so priceq can compare your price with the competition. Brands and distributors can skip this step.

Your own shop is a shop in your Sources list with one switch turned on: **my shop**. priceq then reads your price there the same way it reads a competitor's, and compares the two.

## Who needs this

Only customers who answered **Webshop** in the [first-login questions](/help/en/getting-started/the-first-login-questions) get this step in the checklist, as **Point out your own shop**. For a webshop, the dashboard keeps showing the checklist until it is done.

A brand or distributor sells through other shops and has no own shop. It never gets this step, and its dashboard does not wait for it.

## How to set it

1. Go to **Sources** and stay on the **Retailers** tab.
2. If your shop is not in the list yet, click **Add retailer** and add it like any other shop. See [adding a retailer](/help/en/products-and-sources/adding-a-retailer).
3. Click your shop's name to open its details.
4. Turn on the **my shop** switch.

You see **Own store set**, and the list marks the shop with **my store**. The checklist step ticks itself off.

## Good to know

- There is one own shop per account. Turning the switch on for another shop makes that one yours, and the previous one becomes a competitor again.
- Your own shop does not count toward the number of competitor shops your plan allows. While you add it, though, it counts like any shop until you switch **my shop** on. If your plan is already full, adding it is refused with a message such as **Your plan allows 3 competitor shops. Contact us to raise this.** In that case, open one competitor and click **Pause source**, add and mark your own shop, then click **Resume source** on the competitor.
- Products already linked to that shop keep their links. Nothing needs to be redone.

## What changes

Your own price becomes the anchor. In the [Overview matrix](/help/en/understanding-prices/reading-the-price-table) and on the dashboard, competitor prices are compared with yours, and priceq can warn you when a competitor has stock while you do not. Your own shop's price is read in the same price rounds as everyone else's.
