Only market data is pooled. Your own data stays in your account, and other customers cannot see it.

## What is pooled

When priceq measures the price on a public shop page, it stores that measurement once. Every customer who follows the same page uses the same measurement. priceq does not fetch the page again for each customer separately.

The same goes for what priceq learns about a shop's website. That covers where the price and the stock status sit on a product page, and the product details the shop itself publishes, such as the EAN, brand and product name. This knowledge belongs to the shop's public website, not to any customer.

A price that a shop shows to every visitor is public. That is why it is not treated as your data, and why it is not erased when you delete your account. See [How long do you keep my data?](/help/en/privacy-and-data/how-long-we-keep-your-data).

## What stays yours

- your product catalogue
- the links between your products and shop pages
- your own prices, costs and price floors
- your pricing rules and price proposals
- your alerts and alert settings
- your users and your activity log

Other customers cannot see any of this. They also cannot see that you follow a certain shop or product.

## How the separation works

Every row of customer data in the database carries the customer it belongs to. The database itself refuses to hand a row to any other customer. The only exception is the table of user accounts and one-time codes for invitations and password resets. priceq looks those up by e-mail address at sign-in, before it knows which customer you are. There, priceq itself filters on the account from your session.

On every change to priceq, an automatic test tries to read another customer's data. If that test succeeds, the change is stopped.

The full description of these measures is in Annex III of the [data processing agreement](/data-processing-agreement). See also [Where is my data stored?](/help/en/privacy-and-data/where-is-my-data-stored).
