# How often does priceq update my products from my shop?

> Every night between 05:30 and 06:10 UTC, plus straight away when you change a product in Shopify or WooCommerce.

priceq updates your products from your shop every night. Shopify and WooCommerce also tell priceq when you change a product, and priceq then pulls that change in straight away. Magento has no such signal, so a change there arrives with the nightly update.

## The nightly run

All times are UTC.

- 05:30: priceq checks that the connection still works.
- 05:40: priceq fetches everything that changed in your shop since the last update, such as a new price or a product you disabled.
- 05:50: priceq compares the full list of products in your shop with what it follows, to spot products that are gone.
- 06:10: priceq fetches the sales totals of the past seven days, so late returns are counted too.

Product updates only run while the webshop tile shows **Connected**. When it shows **Action needed**, your products stop updating until the connection works again. See [Fix a broken webshop connection](/help/en/webshop/fix-a-broken-webshop-connection).

## Instant updates from Shopify and WooCommerce

At the first nightly check after you connect, priceq subscribes to product changes in your shop. From then on, a price edit in your shop, for example a sale going live, reaches priceq within moments.

## When you remove a product from your shop

Nothing is deleted. At the 05:50 check the product is marked as gone and priceq stops checking its prices. The product and its price history stay.

If the product comes back in your shop, priceq follows it again, with its links to retailers. Until then it still counts toward your plan limit. If it stays away for 30 days, it moves to the archive on the **Catalog** page and stops counting. See [Managing your catalogue](/help/en/products-and-sources/managing-your-catalogue).

## Products you did not select

A new product in your shop is not added by itself. priceq follows only the products you picked under **Select products**. To add new ones, open that window again. See [Choose which products to import](/help/en/webshop/choose-which-products-to-import).
