Two reports arrive on their own.

You do not run them. The weekly report is sent on Monday at 07:30 UTC, the monthly report on the first of the month at 08:30 UTC. Both arrive by email and stay in the app. The PDF and the Excel file are built from the same stored snapshot as the mail, so a report you open in March still shows the numbers of January.

Three numbers say where you stand.

Price position is a count, not an opinion.

  • Cheapest or equal. On how many products nobody was cheaper than you.
  • Above the lowest price. On how many a competitor was cheaper.
  • Stock gap. On how many a competitor was out of stock while you were not.

The list under those numbers is sorted on the gap in euros times the units you sold, so a product that sits 2% too high on thirty sales ranks above one that sits 12% too high on three. Without your sales figures it sorts on the amount alone.

A price in the report is a median.

A shop’s price for the period is the median of its daily observations, so a promotion of two days does not move the market price. A shop joins the index only from a minimum number of products it shares with you. The share of your catalogue the numbers rest on is printed in the report itself: a strict figure over fewer products is usable, the same figure without that line is not.

The report is the file you forward.

Email, app, PDF and Excel, one snapshot behind all four. The numbers in the mail are the numbers in the attachment.

Between two reports, the same numbers in the app.

Trends in the app run on the same measurements. The price index puts the market at 100, so a number above it means your portfolio is dearer than the market and a number below it cheaper. Price leader shows which shop was cheapest on the most products, week by week, and how many of those weeks were yours.

Four questions about the reports.

Can I get the raw data?

Yes. Every report downloads as Excel, an admin can export everything your organisation has in priceq as a ZIP, and the same numbers are readable through the API (reports and exports endpoints) with your own key.

Is the recommended-price report binding?

No. A recommended price is a recommendation. The report shows which shops sell below it and by how much; it enforces nothing.

Can I choose the day?

No. The weekly report goes out on Monday at 07:30 UTC, the monthly on the first of the month at 08:30 UTC. The two workbooks you pull yourself, over 30, 90 or 365 days.

Does a report cost extra?

No. Reports are in every plan, including the fourteen free days.
