Comparison

priceq vs Omnia Retail

Both track your competitors’ prices and work out a new price. The difference is how you get started and how you build a strategy. With priceq you create an account yourself, connect your shop and choose a goal. With Omnia you start through their website with a demo request and a conversation, and you build strategies as a decision tree with formulas. Here they are side by side.

You request a demo. In a consultation, Omnia looks at what you need and which parts fit. After that you get a demo. You supply your product feed and pass on a list of competitors. Omnia collects the prices itself. For Shopify there is also a free app, since July 2026.

3Changing prices

Building a strategy

priceq: choose a goal, see what it does first.

Choose what you want, such as Protect my margin or Be the cheapest. Before you save, you see how many prices change and how many euros lower or higher in total. In the first week you approve every change yourself. After that it goes to Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento 2 automatically, and priceq reads every price back.

Omnia: a decision tree with blocks and formulas.

You drag blocks into a tree: conditions, a position in the market, a price formula and a lower limit. In the blocks you type formulas, such as TAG.purchasePrice. With Show Me Why you see which rules set a price. For Shopify, Shopware, Plentymarkets and JTL there is a plug-in; otherwise the price reaches your shop through an export or their API.

Which one for whom

Which one fits your shop?

Choose priceq if

  • you want to start today on your own, without a meeting
  • your shop runs on Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento 2
  • you want to choose a strategy without typing formulas
  • you want to see at a glance every morning what needs your attention
  • you want to be able to cancel any month

Look at Omnia too if

  • you want to track prices on price comparison sites and marketplaces, such as Tweakers, bol and Amazon
  • your shop runs on Shopware, Plentymarkets or JTL
  • you work with several shops and countries and have a pricing team

Switching

You can leave your formulas behind

1Connect your shop

Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento 2 takes a few clicks. Another shop, or an ERP? Upload your products as a CSV or Excel file, or send them through the priceq API.

2Add your competitors

One address per competitor. priceq finds the product pages itself.

3Run them side by side

Keep Omnia for a little while and compare the prices. Then you can see for yourself which one to keep.

Questions

Do I have to write formulas in priceq?

No. You choose a goal, such as Protect my margin or Be the cheapest, for your whole shop, a category or one product. Before you save, you see what it does.

Can I try priceq without talking to anyone?

Yes. You create an account yourself and try priceq for 14 days, with no credit card.

How many competitors can I track?

Three on Start and Business, unlimited on Professional. Your own shop does not count.

Does priceq work with Shopware or JTL?

No, not with a direct connection. You connect Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento 2 yourself. For other shops, use a CSV or Excel file, or the priceq API, which comes with every plan.

Does priceq track price comparison sites such as Tweakers?

priceq tracks your competitors’ own webshops, in your own country. If you mainly want to track price comparison sites and marketplaces, Omnia is the better fit for that.

Where is my data stored?

priceq is hosted in the EU, at Hetzner in Nuremberg. priceq is a product of Outflanq, a Dutch company.
