How do I start matching right away?

Updated

Checking matches, 8 articles

Matching runs by itself every night at 03:00 UTC. You do not have to wait for it: in Sources you can start a run for one shop, and in Catalog you can search for one product at one shop.

For one shop

On the Retailers tab in Sources, a shop shows a button such as Match 12 when some of your products were never searched for there. The number is how many.

  1. Click Match on the shop's row.
  2. The Map products window says how many products will be searched and linked.
  3. Click Map now.

The row shows Mapping… while it runs, and a message tells you when it starts and how many links it made when it is done. The coverage figure in the shop's details, such as 8 of 20 linked, goes up as links come in.

Retrying earlier misses

Click the shop's row to open its details. Next to coverage you find the same Match button whenever there are products to search, including earlier misses whose waiting time has passed. View takes you to the shop's rows on the Mappings tab.

A run started this way also covers a shop you switched off. It skips archived products, products already linked at that shop, and products still waiting in your review queue. Earlier misses still wait out their 7 or 30 days: see Why is my product still unmatched?.

While a run is busy for a shop, clicking again starts nothing new. You can start up to 10 runs an hour.

For one product

Open Catalog, click the product and go to the Links tab. On a shop marked not found, click Find listing. priceq searches that shop for this product right away, without waiting for the retry period. See Check links per product.

How a search decides what to link is explained in How priceq finds your product.
