Who are your sub-processors?
Updated
Privacy and data, 7 articles
Five parties process personal data for priceq on your behalf. The full list, with purpose, data, location and transfer basis per party, is on the sub-processors page. The list is complete: a party that is not on it receives no personal data.
The five sub-processors
- Hetzner Online GmbH hosts the application, the database and the background work, in Nuremberg, Germany. It holds all data. No transfer outside the EU.
- Cloudflare, Inc. provides DNS, protection against misuse, the bot check on forms, and storage for the encrypted nightly backup. It sees traffic data such as IP address and browser. Cloudflare is established in the United States, covered by standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Backblaze, Inc. keeps an offsite copy of the nightly backup in the United States. It only receives the encrypted backup and does not have the key. Covered by standard contractual clauses.
- AhaSend B.V. in Amsterdam sends priceq's e-mail: alerts, overviews, invitations, password mails and messages about your trial or subscription. Processing stays within the EEA.
- Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) records application errors in its EU region in Germany. It receives technical data only, no personal data from your account.
Each of them has a data processing agreement with us.
Parties that work for us, not for you
For payments, bookkeeping and support we are the controller ourselves. These parties receive personal data for that purpose, so they are on the list too, but they are not sub-processors under your agreement:
- Stripe handles checkout and payments. Its European contracts run from Ireland.
- Moneybird B.V. in the Netherlands creates and sends invoices.
- Vimexx (zxcs) in the Netherlands hosts the mailbox of our support address.
When the list changes
We announce every intended change at least 30 days ahead. You may object in that period. If we cannot agree, you may end the agreement from the day the change takes effect. This is set out in the data processing agreement.
Services without personal data
priceq also uses services to fetch public shop pages, search for product pages and help match products. They only receive web addresses, search terms and product details, no personal data. That is why they are not on the list. See Where is my data stored?.
