How do the weekly and monthly reports work?

Updated

Alerts and reports, 8 articles

priceq builds a report on how your prices held up against the market, e-mails it, and keeps it on the Reports page. There are two kinds.

  • Weekly report: sent every Monday at 07:30 UTC. It covers the week that just ended, Monday to Sunday.
  • Monthly report: sent on the 1st of the month at 08:30 UTC. It covers the previous calendar month.

Who gets it

Every active user in your organisation who has finished setting up their account. The report does not follow the alert e-mail setting in My account, so switching alert mail Off does not stop it. The mail shows the key figures and the top five lines of the worklist. The full report is in the app.

The Reports page

Open Reports. The list on the left shows every report, newest first. Each line gives the period, Weekly report or Monthly report, the price index and how it moved since the previous report of the same kind. Click a line to open it.

At the top of a report you see when it was sent and to how many people, or Not sent yet. The report then shows, among others:

  • Price index and Above the lowest price
  • the position bar: cheapest, level and dearer
  • a worklist of products where you are above the lowest price, sorted by what the gap is worth
  • Who beats you, By category and Biggest moves

For how the index is calculated, see The price index.

A report is a snapshot

A report is stored as it was built and does not change afterwards. That is why the page and the old mail always agree.

To get fresh figures, choose Refresh report. priceq rebuilds the report for the last completed week with today's data. It does not send the mail again. You can refresh at most 6 times an hour, and you need the Member role or higher. Monthly reports cannot be refreshed.

With no report yet, the page says so and shows the Refresh report button, which builds one for the past week.

Downloads

Every report has two buttons: PDF and Excel. Both hold the same snapshot as the page.

For spreadsheets over a period you choose yourself, see Download Excel reports. When a figure in the report looks different from the price page, read Why doesn't the number in my report match the price page?
