Alerts and reports
When an alert fires, handling alerts, setting up email, and reading the weekly and monthly reports.
- What makes each type of alert fire?
priceq has eight alert types. Six watch the market, two watch your own shop. Here is what triggers each one and which are on for your account.
- Snooze, ignore, mute or resolve: what is the difference?
Four ways to handle an alert. Snooze and resolve are safe. Ignore does not stop a new alert, and mute is permanent with no undo in the app.
- How do I change alert thresholds, also per category?
On the Rules tab you switch alert types on or off and set their thresholds, for your whole account or as an exception for one category.
- Why did my alert disappear?
Alerts close by themselves once the situation is over, and the page opens on Unread. Here are the reasons an alert leaves your view and where to find it.
- How do I get alerts by e-mail?
Choose Daily to get one e-mail each morning with your unread alerts, or Off to see alerts only in the app. The choice is yours alone.
- How do the weekly and monthly reports work?
Every Monday you get a report on the past week, and on the 1st one on the past month. Read them again on the Reports page, or download a PDF or Excel file.
- Why doesn't the number in my report match what I see on the price page?
The report looks back over a whole week or month and uses different measures per figure. The price page shows the latest prices. So the two can differ.
- How do I download Excel reports for a period I choose?
Settings has three Excel workbooks you can forward: price position per product, deviations from your advised price, and the price trend per category.
