What can each role do in priceq?
Updated
Team and account, 9 articles
priceq has four roles: Admin, Supervisor, Member and Viewer. They are stacked. Each role can do everything the role below it can, and a bit more. You see your own role at the top of My account.
Viewer
Viewers can look at everything in the app but change nothing that belongs to the organisation. They can still set their own language and theme, choose their alert e-mails, and save personal views.
Member
Members do the daily work: the catalogue and sources, matching products to shop pages, alerts, categories. A Member can also pull the emergency stop on automatic price sending. Letting it go again takes a Supervisor.
Supervisor
Supervisors make the decisions about prices and people:
- approve or reject price proposals, and send prices to your webshop
- create and change pricing rules, set price floors, and undo a round
- manage team members up to the Supervisor role
- see the Activity log
- add, pause and delete Webhooks
- change the schedule under Collecting and use Measure now
Admin
An Admin runs the organisation itself. Only an Admin can:
- invite new team members and make someone an Admin
- create and revoke API keys
- download the full Data export
- buy, change or cancel the subscription
- edit the company details and the market under Client
- use the Danger zone, including Delete account
Settings only shows the sections your role may use. If you open a link to a section you cannot use, priceq shows the first section you can.
Rules that protect the organisation
You cannot change your own role, and you cannot manage someone with a higher role than yours. A Supervisor can hand out every role except Admin.
An organisation always keeps at least one active Admin. priceq refuses to demote or deactivate the last one. Make someone else Admin first.
Changing a role
Open Settings, then Team members. On the person's row, choose Change role and pick the new role. You see Role updated. and the change shows in the Activity log.
