How do I disconnect my webshop, and what happens then?
Updated
Connecting your webshop, 8 articles
Open Settings, choose Webshop and choose Disconnect on your shop's tile. Your products and their price history stay in priceq. What stops is the link with your shop: no more updates from it, and no more prices sent to it.
Two places to disconnect
- On the webshop tile: choose Disconnect and confirm Are you sure you want to disconnect this webshop?
- In Settings, Danger zone, under Disconnect webshop: choose Disconnect… and type DISCONNECT to confirm. Only admins see the Danger zone.
Both do the same. Afterwards you see Webshop disconnected, and the tile shows the connect form again.
What stays
- every product you imported from your shop
- the price history and the links to retailers
- your pricing rules
What stops
- the nightly product updates and the sales totals from your shop
- the instant updates when you change a product in Shopify or WooCommerce: priceq removes its subscription in your shop
- sending prices to your shop: from now on you change prices in your shop yourself
What opens up again
While a shop was connected, it was the only source of your products. After disconnecting, Import and Add product on the Catalog page work again. See Why Import and Add are greyed out. You can keep your products up to date with a file from then on. See Import products from a file.
Access in your shop
Disconnecting in priceq does not delete the app, key or integration in your shop. If you want that gone too, remove it in your shop's admin: the app in Shopify, the REST API key in WooCommerce, or the integration in Magento.
Connecting again later
Use the same tile and follow Connect your webshop. As soon as the shop shows Connected again, it is once more the only source of your products.
