My webshop connection says "Action needed": how do I fix it?
Updated
Connecting your webshop, 8 articles
Open Settings, choose Webshop and read the message on the tile that shows Action needed. It names one of three causes. For Shopify and WooCommerce, Reconnect usually solves it. For Magento, you disconnect and connect again with new keys.
The three messages
Access has expired or was revoked. Reconnect to restore the integration. Your shop no longer accepts priceq's access. For example, the app was removed in Shopify, the key was deleted in WooCommerce, or the integration was switched off in Magento. priceq notices this at its nightly check at 05:30 UTC. When you remove the app in Shopify, it notices right away.
The connection is missing required permissions. Reconnect and grant the requested access. The connection works, but lacks a right priceq needs. Shopify and WooCommerce need read and write access to products. A Magento integration needs read access to products and categories.
The connection is running with limits. Reconnect to restore full functionality. priceq could not reach your shop at several nightly checks in a row, for example because the shop was down or timed out. This one clears by itself: once a nightly check reaches your shop again, the tile goes back to Connected. Check that your shop is online and does not block outside requests.
Reconnecting per platform
- Shopify: choose Reconnect. Shopify opens and asks you to approve access again.
- WooCommerce: choose Reconnect. WordPress opens and asks you to approve read and write access. Do this too if you connected with keys entered by hand and now see the missing permissions message.
- Magento: Reconnect does not help here. Fix the integration in your Magento admin or create a new one, then choose Disconnect on the tile. Connect again with Connect manually and the new keys. See Connect your webshop.
Disconnecting does not remove your products or their price history.
What stops while the connection is broken
Your products no longer update from your shop. See How often your catalogue syncs. Sending prices to your shop stops too, except when the connection is only running with limits.
Nobody e-mails you
priceq does not send you a message when a connection breaks. The tile in Settings is where you see it, so look there if your products stop changing. The priceq team gets an alert as well. If reconnecting does not help, mail [email protected]. See Contact support.
