Why are Import and Add product greyed out on my Catalog page?

Connecting your webshop, 8 articles

Your webshop is connected. While it is, your shop is the only source of your products, so Import and Add product on the Catalog page are switched off. Hover over either button and you see Your catalog is managed from your connected webshop.

Why priceq works this way

If you could also change products in priceq, your shop and priceq would soon disagree about the same product. So your shop leads. Change a product in your shop, and the change comes into priceq by itself. See How often your catalogue syncs.

What else is locked

The banner above your products says it too: Your products now come from your connected webshop, so manual add and CSV import are disabled.

The lock covers every change to your product data in priceq, not only the two buttons. If you try to rename a product, change its brand or category, move products to another category or archive them, priceq refuses with Your catalogue is managed by your connected webshop. Disconnect it to deliver or edit products yourself.

These still work while your shop is connected:

  • choosing which products priceq follows, with Select products under Settings, Webshop
  • checking and confirming the links to retailers
  • your pricing rules and the price proposals

Getting the buttons back

Disconnect your webshop. Your products and their price history stay, and Import and Add product work again straight away. You can then keep the catalogue up to date with a file instead. See Disconnect your webshop and Import products from a file.

Keep in mind that after disconnecting, priceq can no longer send prices to your shop.
