How do I manage my products on the Catalog page?
Updated
Products and sources, 8 articles
The Catalog page lists every product priceq follows and tells you per product whether its data and its links to retailers are right. You fix products there, move them between categories and archive what you no longer want to watch.
Finding products
- The left rail shows All products, your categories, Uncategorised and Archive.
- The tabs Needs attention, All and In order split products by health. A product needs attention when data is missing or a link needs checking. A product that is not linked to any retailer yet needs attention too.
- Search with Search by SKU, EAN or name… and filter with All brands.
To keep a set of filters, choose Save view, give it a name and choose Save. Pick it later from Saved view. Your views are yours alone: colleagues do not see them. Remove one with Delete view.
Editing one product
Click a product to open it. The Data tab shows how many fields are complete. Choose Edit next to the name, brand or category to change it. The SKU, EAN and MPN cannot be changed here: they come from your import.
The Links tab shows the retailer pages linked to this product. See Check links per product.
Changing many products at once
Tick products in the list. A bar appears with:
- Assign category, to move them to another category
- Assign brand, to give them all the same brand
- Confirm links, to approve their links that are waiting for a check
- Archive
Manage categories at the top is where you rename, recolour, reorder, add or delete a category. Deleting a category moves its products to Uncategorised. Their links to retailers are kept.
Archiving
Archived products are no longer watched: priceq stops checking their prices. They move to Archive in the rail and stop counting toward your plan limit. To watch a product again, open Archive, tick it and choose Restore. Its links come back with it.
Products you connected through your webshop are managed from your shop. While it is connected, editing, moving and archiving here is switched off. See Why Import and Add are greyed out.
Adding products
Choose Import to upload a CSV or Excel file. See Import products from a file.
