When does priceq check prices?
Updated
Getting started, 7 articles
priceq checks every linked price once a day at 06:00 UTC. That first round is the same for every customer and cannot be moved. On the Business and Professional plans a second round follows later in the day, at an hour you pick yourself.
See your schedule
Open Settings and go to Collecting. The first line reads "Every day at 08:00 we check every price", with the time shown in your own time zone. So 06:00 UTC may appear as 07:00 or 08:00, depending on where you are and the time of year.
On the trial and on Start, the section adds: Your plan includes one check a day. A second round comes with Business and Professional.
Move the second round
On Business and Professional you also see Second check.
- Open the list under Second check.
- Pick an hour. Again, the hours are shown in your own time zone.
- The change is saved straight away, with the message Saved. The next round runs at the new time.
Unless someone changes it, the second round runs at 18:00 UTC. Only the Supervisor and Admin roles can change it. Other roles see the hour but cannot change it.
The morning round stays at 06:00 UTC for everyone because many customers follow the same shop pages. One shared round fetches each page once.
Faster than tomorrow morning
A new account does not have to wait for the next round. Once the first product is linked to a shop, the getting-started checklist offers Measure now, which you can use twice a day.
If collection is paused
The section may say Automatic collection is switched off. Your prices are not being refreshed. In that case no round runs until it is switched back on, and the section tells you when the next round will run. Prices you already have stay visible, but they grow older. See why data shows as stale.
For which plan includes a second round, see plans and limits.
