Understanding prices
Reading the overview, the price index, trends, stale readings, and why a price can be missing.
- How do I read the Overview matrix?
The Overview matrix shows one row per product with every shop's price. Search, filter by category or shop, sort, and see which products need attention.
- What is the difference between Simple and Detailed view?
Simple shows each product's market as a bar with your price as a ring. Detailed shows one tile per shop, cheapest first.
- Why are out-of-stock prices hidden?
A price nobody can buy is not a price you compete with. The Overview leaves out sold-out shops unless you ask for them with a chip.
- Can I see prices without VAT?
The VAT switch on the Overview matrix shows prices with or without VAT. It changes what you see, not the comparison. Other currencies are never compared.
- What does the price index number mean?
The price index compares your prices with the market. 100 means level with the market, below 100 cheaper, above 100 dearer.
- Why does my price data look stale?
A price counts as stale when its last reading is more than 72 hours old. It is still the last price priceq saw, just not a fresh one.
- What does the retailer leaderboard show?
The retailer leaderboard ranks your competitors by how often they sit below your price, across the products you both sell.
- How do I read the Trends page?
Trends shows how your prices and the market moved over a period: the market average, your price index, the price leader and the biggest moves.
- What do the numbers on the Dashboard mean?
The Dashboard sums up where you stand: how much you are above the cheapest shop, how often you are cheapest, and which products need action.
- How do I see the price history of one product?
The product page shows one product at one shop: your position, every competitor, a 90-day price chart and the price moves of 5% or more.
