Understanding prices, 10 articles
The Dashboard is the first page after you log in. It sums up where your prices stand against your competitors and points you to the products that need action. It refreshes by itself while it is open.
While your account is still being set up, the Dashboard shows the getting-started checklist instead. See The getting-started checklist.
The top of the page
Next to the greeting you see how many products priceq follows for you. On the right, a percentage followed by fresh (<24h) tells you how much of the latest price data was read in the last 24 hours. See Why does my price data look stale?.
Below it, tabs switch between All and a single category. A category you pick here is also picked on the Overview matrix.
With All selected
price gap per unit vs cheapest competitor adds up, over every product where a competitor is cheaper than you, the difference between your price and the cheapest competitor. The line under it counts those products. Reprice → opens Repricing.
avg above cheapest is the average gap on those same products.
A position bar splits your products into cheapest, equal and more expensive. It only counts products where both your shop and at least one competitor have a price. equal means exactly the same price as the cheapest competitor.
Needs action
Three columns, each with up to five products:
- Where I am too expensive: a competitor is cheaper than you. The biggest gap comes first.
- Room to move up: you are the cheapest and the next shop is at least 1% dearer. The shop in second place is named.
- Only I'm in stock: you have stock while at least one competitor is sold out.
Click a product to open it on the Overview matrix. Reprice these at the bottom of a column opens Repricing.
View by category
Open View by category for one row per category. It shows your position as a small bar and chips for above market, stock gap and critical alerts. A category without any of these reads quiet. Click a row to open that category on the Overview matrix.
With a category selected
Everything narrows to that category. Tiles show your position, the avg gap, the stock gap (you are out of stock while a competitor delivers) and your alerts, followed by the same three action columns. ← All categories takes you back.
Only prices in your home currency count on the Dashboard.
