What does the retailer leaderboard show?

Understanding prices, 10 articles

The retailer leaderboard ranks your competitors by how often they undercut you. It sits on the Overview matrix as the second tab, retailer leaderboard. The shop that is cheaper than you on the largest share of your shared products comes first.

Before you start

Everyone is measured against your own shop, so you need one. Without your own shop there is nothing to measure against and the list stays empty. See Set up your own store.

It works per category. Pick the category on the matrix tab first, then open retailer leaderboard. The line above the list names the category and your shop as the anchor.

The columns

  • #: the place in the ranking.
  • retailer: the competitor, with its country.
  • coverage: how many products this shop and your shop both have a price for, out of all your products in the category.
  • undercuts me · share of shared skus: the share of those shared products where this shop is cheaper than you, with the count underneath and a red bar.
  • median gap: the middle value of how far this shop sits from your price, as a percentage of your price. Red and negative means it usually sits below you. Green and positive means above.
  • cheapest: on how many of the shared products this shop is the cheapest of all, you included.

Shops are ranked on the undercut share first. When two shops tie, the one with more shared products comes first.

What it counts

priceq uses the latest price it has for each linked product, whether or not the shop has stock. Only prices in your home currency count. A shop appears once it shares at least one product with your shop.

No competitors found in this category. means no competitor has a price for any product that your shop also has a price for in this category.

What to do with it

Whoever tops the list sets the pace. On the matrix tab, the need attention button and the sort biggest gap in % then show the products where you are furthest above the cheapest shop. See How do I read the Overview matrix?.
