How do I see the price history of one product?

Understanding prices, 10 articles

Every product has a page per shop with its full price picture. You reach it from the Overview matrix:

  • In Detailed view, click a shop's tile.
  • In Simple view, click the arrow at the end of a row, or open the shop list and choose full history →. Both open the page for the cheapest shop in that row.

Overview matrix at the top takes you back.

The header

You see the product name, a Cheapest or Undercut label, and the facts for this shop: price, list price when priceq has one for the product, your place, stock and last seen. open listing opens the shop's own page in a new tab. Reprice this product opens the product on the Repricing page.

Your position

The card compares the shop you opened with the cheapest competitor that can deliver today. It shows both prices and the difference in money and as a percentage of the competitor's price. Under it, a line says your place among the shops that can ship today. When a cheaper shop has no stock, a separate line names it. When priceq has a list price, the card also says how far each price sits from it.

When no other shop has a price, the page says there is no competitor to measure against.

Price history

Price history draws the last 90 days. You get a line for the shop you opened, a line for each other shop that has history, and the list price when there is one. Lines follow the calendar, because shops are not measured at the same moment.

With only one reading so far, the chart says History is being built. The line fills in with each daily check.

Under the chart, what moved lists up to six recent changes of 5% or more at this shop, newest first, each as price down or price up with the old and new price.

Competitors

Competitors lists every other shop with a price for this product, cheapest first, sold-out shops included. Each row shows the price, the difference vs you (or vs the shop you opened, when that is not yours), the stock and when it was seen. Red means below you, green above you. Only shops in the same currency as the one you opened are listed.

Why this match holds

The last section explains how priceq linked this shop page to your product. If the link is wrong, see How do I fix a wrong match?.
