How do I read the Overview matrix?

Updated

Understanding prices, 10 articles

The Overview matrix shows every product you follow, one row each, with the prices priceq collected at the shops you track. Open it from the menu. You can read it in two ways, Simple and Detailed, which the switch at the top right changes. See Simple and Detailed view.

The toolbar

  • Search product or SKU… filters on product name, SKU and brand.
  • The category menu starts on All categories. Pick one to see only that category. Filter then lets you narrow down on the product details of that category.
  • sort by orders the list. biggest gap in % puts the products where you are furthest above the cheapest shop first. biggest amount to cheapest does the same in money. highest price starts with the most expensive products, and recently moved starts with the most recently measured ones.
  • The red need attention button counts products where a competitor sits more than 2% below your price. Click it to show only those. Click again to show everything.

Pinned products always stay at the top, whatever the sort.

Filter chips and shops

The small chips next to the toolbar change which prices you see. By default out-of-stock prices are left out. include out of stock brings them back and pre-order only shows products that a shop lists for pre-order. See Why are out-of-stock prices hidden?. pinned shows only your pinned products and moved last 24h shows products with a price measured in the last 24 hours. Use clear filters to remove them all.

Under the toolbar, the shops row lists every shop you track, your own first. Click a shop to show only the shops you select. Click it again to undo. The switch on the right changes prices between including and excluding VAT, see Prices with or without VAT.

Pinning a product

Hover over a row and click the pin icon. The product moves to the top of the list and stays there until you click unpin.

Products at the bottom

Products that no shop has a price for yet are grouped at the end under products not linked yet. manage links → takes you to Sources, where priceq links your products to shop pages.

Empty states

No products imported yet means your catalogue is empty. No monitored retailers yet means you have not added a shop to compare with.

Exporting

Export CSV downloads the prices for the chosen category and shops, one row per product and three columns per shop: price, rank and stock.
